NAAF was established in 1981 with one clear goal; to offer support to individuals affected by alopecia areata. Though the mission has expanded over the past two decades, the importance of providing a substantial support program to people of all ages and interests has not diminished. NAAF's various support programs and resources offer different ways to create a sense of community amongst individuals with alopecia areata and their families.

WAC’s purpose is to enhance the well-being of those affected by all forms of alopecia, through education, wellness activities & support. We want to teach people to not just live with alopecia but how to thrive. We commonly post fundraisers, products for sale and other events to help our organization reach its goals.

SAF’s mission is providing education and patient support, raising public awareness and advancing and promoting research. Our leadership believes that in return to accomplishing our mission, we will improve the care of patients with inflammatory, scarring hair disorders.

We are improving the lives of people with cancer and their families as the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
